Q. Is Window Tinting an Illegal Vehicle Modification?
A. According to Colorado State Patrol web site (http://csp.state.co.us/faq_detail.cfm?FAQ_ID=91), “one of the most common upgrades done to a vehicle is window tint. Window tint is measured in percentages by Colorado Law. When a percentage is discussed, it means the percent of ambient light outside the vehicle, which is able to enter the vehicle. For instance, if a window’s tint is measured at 2%, that means that only 2% of the outside light is making it into the car. All original equipment side windows come from the factory tinted a little, most are tinted to somewhere between 70-80%, which looks fairly clear. In Colorado, it is legal to darken windows behind the driver’s seat as dark as you want them IF the front windows, driver’s side and passenger’s side, along with the windshield are at least 70% (clear automobile glass with NO tint). Or, you can tint all of the windows in the car except the windshield to a maximum of 27%. Remember though that at no time, can your two, front windows be darker than 27%. Also in Colorado NO mirrored or reflective tint is allowed on any window of the vehicle.”

Q. Can I do a Remote Car Starter in a car that has a manual transmission?
A. No.

Q. Do you have FREE Installation?
A. Think about it. Nobody does anything for FREE. It is usually hidden in the price somewhere. Here at Sunshine Audio, we are up-front about our installation costs. We’ve been doing this for a long time. We have set pricing on most installations, like decks, amps, and speakers. If your vehicle is going to be outside of the normal costs, we will let you know before we start the installation.

Q. Do you do home audio?
A. No.

Q. I have my own equipment. Do you install other peoples stuff?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you build custom systems?
A. Yes. We love building custom systems. And we’re very very good at it.

Q. Do you guarantee your work?
A. Yes. All of the equipment we sell comes with a standard manufacturer’s warranty. PLUS, we give you a LIFETIME warranty on our installation.

Q. Can I add an iPod to my factory car stereo?
A. Yes. There are several different ways to be able to integrate your iPod to work with the factory stereo in your vehicle.

The most common way is to use an FM Transmitter. An FM Transmitter can either plugged into your cigarette lighter or wired directly to the vehicle. It works by transmitting an FM signal to a predetermined FM radio station on you vehicles stereo. However, because of the weak signal that these put out, there is a good chance that you will get static noise in the background. We only recommend this type of unit as a last resort due to the poor quality of sound that they produce.

The next option is an FM Modulator. A close cousin of the FM Transmitter, this unit works in the same way. You still tune your vehicle stereo to a predetermined FM radio station. However an FM Modulator is plugged directly into your vehicles antenna with antenna adaptors. This will allow for a better signal since it is directly plugged into the antenna. While this is a better solution than the FM Transmitter, there is still a chance for static or bleed over if the radio station that is chosen has a local radio station broadcasting on that frequency.

The best choice is a direct connection into the vehicles factory stereo. This is accomplished by either adding an Auxiliary Input that will plug into your IPod’s headphone jack or a Direct IPod Input that will plug into the IPod itself. This is done by using an existing input that some factory vehicles have. If your vehicle is capable of allowing this type of input, this is by far the best connection that you can use to get the best quality sound.

Q. Can I add a Bluetooth connection to my vehicle so that I can hear my cell phone over by vehicles stereo?
A. With more and more people talking on their cell phones while driving their vehicle's, there are many different ways to integrate a hands free Bluetooth system into your vehicle. Much of this depends on the type of vehicle and stereo that you have.

Q. Do you offer financing or layaways?
A. Yes. We have both financing and layaways.
